CONTROL SYSTEM SYSTEM
Aleron Subsea design and manufacture ROV systems. To date this has been the AUXROV, TRACKROV and we are soon to launch our MultiROV system.
With a range of in house components and using our own Gladaitor control system we offer flexible innovative designs which have evolved with industry demands.
The Gladiator control system also acts as an ROV upgrade package, replacing ageing electronics and updating their capabilities to today’s technical expectations.
Aleron Subsea launched the Gladiator Control system in 2016. Designed initially to operate our AUXROV system the Gladiator control system was designed to efficiently overcome the issue faced with aging ROV systems – obsolete electronics.
By replacing the core electronic control system of an aging ROV and by using boards that can still control original components and sensors we developed an upgrade option that offered value for investment and can give aging ROV’s life extension.
The same master board is used throughout our control system to reduce on spares and the Multiplexor is modular and comes with options depending on the client’s operational needs.
Originally manufactured for route clearance operations in the wind farm market, more specifically boulder clearance utilising a 10ton Hydraulic Grab Aleron Subsea launched the AUXROV in 2016.
The first system built was a 200HP system with the large amount of hydraulic power being used to ensure optimum thruster performance whilst future proofing the system for operating a range of subsea tools. The latest system was built as a 300HP system for power Mass Flow Excavations systems in deep water.
The AUXROV system has a SWL of 20t and has been load tested to 3G. New applications for the system are still being identified but so far, we have operated Mass Flow Excavation Systems,
Hydraulic Tine Grabs, Hydraulic Clam Shell Grabs, shear cutters, rock bag deployment, and to operate a vast range of survey sensors.
The system could be used for subsea excavation, paired with subsea tracks for high current locations, utilised with a survey spread for seabed mapping or cable/pipe identification or depth or burial, operate a range of cutting tools and much more.
The system delivers hydraulic power at tool so any tools that a client wants to take deep water and has previously been restricted by downlines can use the AUXROV and an intelligent subsea HPU which can hold auto heading and obtain live video and sonar footage.

Following several meetings with clients struggling in low tide, high current working environments and with a working agreement where we can supply innovative and accurate seabed mapping for target identification Aleron Subsea have Teamed up with Pangeo Subsea to develop the TRACKROV.
The TRACKROV system is designed to deploy and operate the Pangeo Sub Bottom Imaging system. It can also be equipped with large dredge pumps and a suite of survey sensors such as imaging sonars, magnetometers, cameras, lights and manipulators to perform closer inspections of potential targets during the survey.
The system can be either deployed with the vessel crane of via a small independent marine crane.
